Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Excellent restaurant in the old town with great food, good service, and nice atmosphere under the soft beige limestone arches inside or outside at the tables next to the olive trees. The food is modern Pugliese yet chef Andrea takes hints from local grandmas in the countryside to master his dishes. Meats or seafood in their delicious menu are well-married to local organic wines. Definitely a place to try in any season when visiting this beautiful city."
"Great dinner off the recommendation of our accommodation. Local themed food with a modern twist. Shared a creamed Cod to starter, followed by Ravioli with barata and pea puree, roasted pork with mash and peanuts. Food overall was great, ambience and the restaurant look were fantastic. Lovely vaulted ceilings."
"Fantastic meal! We found this place by absolutely chance in the daytime as we were looking for a place to drink but it was nearly 3pm and eateries tend to close. It was busy, looked great and having been in Italy for 2 weeks knew it might be worth booking for dinner so we cpuld vome back. Im so glad we did as it saved walking aimlessly around Lecce in search of a good meal. We saw plenty of couple turned away during our meal in the evening. Anyway, to the food. It was a cut above most places we have eaten. Authentic, regional food but presented in a modern way. The menu was varied but not over the top. We would highly recommend this place if you want an authentic but modern meal. Its a cool/cute outside dining area and the staff are attentive and friendly."
"Attended the restaurant only. Menu and quality of the food was exceptional. Service ok, staff helpful. I enjoyed sitting outside in the alleyway. Felt like being in France, although we were in Italy."
"A unique place in Lecce downtown where traditional food meets modern art. The host, Sasha, is fulfilling you every wish. And the wine list is spectacular. Try the red wine Mimi, 2017, it’s one of their running horses. Together with my friends, we spent an unforgettable evening there which later in the night, turned into an argentinian tango music night. viva la musica, il cibo ed il vino salentino."
"We booked Sunday dinner for four here. The restaurant seating is on the quiet street and was pretty full b 20:00. We had some delicious aubergines, fava and chicory and I had a really delicious special of pasta seafood sauce and octopus. Fantastic!!"
"Hidden away in a quiet, narrow alley, this restaurant caught my attention, and I decided it was worth trying. We were lucky to get a table outside without a reservation. At first glance, the menu seemed a bit limited, but once you take a closer look, you'll find plenty of options. For the main course, I had the ravioli filled with burrata, and I also shared a carpaccio and fava purée with chicory. The food was incredibly fresh, and the flavors came together beautifully for an overall delightful experience. The wine list was unique compared to other places, and I ordered a limited-production bottle of red wine called "SULLROCCE" by Pierfrabio Mastronardi, which turned out to be amazing!"
"Really lovely lunch. Well worth a visit, not too far from the main streets but definitely worth looking for"
